If something in your integration isn’t working as expected—like clients, products, or sales not syncing—these steps can often resolve the issue quickly. If the issue continues after completing the steps below, we’ll ask you for a couple examples so we can investigate further.
Step 1: Confirm your Edge server is up to date
Please verify your Edge server is running the most recent version.
If you’re not on this version, update your server and then re-check your sync.
A) Find your current Edge version (inside Edge)
Open Edge on the server (or the machine where Edge is installed).
In the top menu, click Help.
Select About (sometimes listed as About Edge).
Note the version number shown on that screen.
If you don’t see Help → About, look for Settings, System, or a gear icon and then find About or Version.
B) Confirm you’re on the latest version
Once you have your version number:
If your organization has an internal IT process for updates, share the version number with your IT team and ask them to confirm it is the most current Edge release.
If you manage updates directly, run your standard Edge update process, then re-open Help → About to confirm the version number changed (if an update was available).
After confirming Edge is current, continue to Step 2.
Step 2: Check for security software blocking the integration
Some security tools (antivirus, endpoint protection, firewalls, etc.) can block the integration if the correct application isn’t approved.
Make sure the system/application titled “Econ” is added as an approved application in your security software.
If you’re unsure where to find this setting, your IT team may be able to assist.
Step 3: Make sure automatic sync is turned on
During your integration setup, three shortcuts were created on your server’s desktop. One of these can accidentally stop the automatic sync.
On your server desktop, look for the shortcut titled “Econ - Start Sync”
Open the shortcut (just opening it will turn sync back on if it was off)
If you previously opened “Econ - Stop Sync”, this step will re-enable syncing
Step 4: Run a quick test
After completing the steps above, please run a quick test to confirm everything is syncing correctly.
Choose the test that matches what you’re troubleshooting:
If clients aren’t syncing: Create a new client or make a small edit to an existing client in the Edge, then check Clientbook to confirm it appears/updates.
If products aren’t syncing: Create a new product or update an existing product in the Edge, then check Clientbook to confirm it appears/updates.
If sales aren’t syncing: If possible, create a small test transaction, then check Clientbook to confirm the sale imports.
If the issue is still happening
If you’re still seeing the issue after running the test, please email us at support@clientbook.com 1–2 examples so we can investigate. Helpful details include:
What you changed/created (client name, product name/SKU, order/receipt number)
Approximate time it was created/updated
What you expected to happen vs. what you’re seeing in Clientbook
