Data Migration Process for Point of Sale Switch or Integration
If you're switching your point of sale (POS) system, or moving from a non-integrated setup to an integrated one, it's crucial to inform Clientbook ahead of time. This ensures that we can clean up the data on our end and prevent any potential data duplication in both Clientbook and your new POS.
Steps for Data Migration:

Notify Clientbook Support
Contact the Clientbook support team and inform them of your intention to switch points of sale or move to an integrated setup. -
Obtain Client List from New POS
Our team will request that you reach out to your new POS provider and request a spreadsheet with the following:- A list of your clients
- Old POS IDs
- New POS IDs

Update IDs in Clientbook
Once we receive the client list, our development team will update the POS IDs in Clientbook to reflect the new IDs. This step is essential to prevent data duplication across both systems. -
Setup New Integration
After the IDs are updated, we'll proceed with setting up the new integration based on the specific requirements of your new POS system.
