What is the Preferred Name used for?
The Preferred Name field on a client profile determines the name used when the :Client Name:
placeholder is applied in automated messages, mass messages, message templates, and one-on-one messaging. This is especially useful if a client prefers to go by a nickname!
- By default, this field will be blank. If no preferred name is added, Clientbook will automatically use the client's first name in messages.
- Once an associate enters a preferred name, it will remain unchanged unless manually updated by another associate. This field will not update automatically or be removed unless edited directly.
