An invalid number refers to any phone number that cannot receive text messages. The most common reasons a phone number is marked as invalid include:
-
The number is a landline
- Landline numbers are unable to receive SMS or text messages.
-
The number is not a full 10-digit number
- Text messaging requires a valid 10-digit phone number (area code + number).
How to Identify an Invalid Number in Clientbook
In Clientbook, invalid numbers are flagged to help you avoid sending messages that won’t be delivered:
- A red X will appear next to the invalid phone number.
- You will not be able to text the invalid number.
Next Steps for Invalid Numbers
If a number is marked as invalid:
- Verify the phone number with the client to ensure it was entered correctly.
- If the number is a landline, ask the client for a mobile number that can receive text messages.
- Update the client’s contact information in their profile to reflect the correct number.
By ensuring phone numbers are valid, you can successfully communicate with clients using Clientbook’s messaging features.
