Difference Between My Inbox and Store Inbox
My Inbox
The My Inbox contains messages from clients assigned specifically to the associate account you are logged in as. Here’s how it works:
-
If your account is integrated with a point-of-sale (POS) system, clients will automatically be assigned to you when you assist them through the POS.
-
You can also manually assign yourself to a client:
-
Go to the client's profile.
-
Click the flag icon at the top-right corner to assign the client to yourself.
-
-
Once a client is assigned to you, their messages will appear in My Inbox.
Why it’s useful:
-
My Inbox allows you to focus on the clients you are directly responsible for.
-
It provides a clear view of the messages from the clients you are working with.
Store Inbox
The Store Inbox contains all messages for the store, including:
-
Messages from all clients (assigned and unassigned).
-
Messages from webchat and Google reviews.
If a message comes from an unassigned client, it will also appear in the Store Inbox. From here:
-
A manager or admin can assign the client and their message to a specific associate.
Why it’s useful:
-
The Store Inbox ensures no messages are missed.
-
It acts as a central hub for all communication, allowing visibility across the team.
Key Summary
-
My Inbox = Messages from clients assigned specifically to you.
-
Store Inbox = All store messages, including unassigned clients, webchat, and Google reviews.
This structure allows you to focus on your clients while ensuring all communication is easily managed and visible to the entire team.
