Every Clientbook plan includes a monthly allocation of mass messages. This article explains how limits work, what happens when you go over, and how to track your usage.
Your Monthly Plan Limit
Your mass message limit is determined by your Clientbook plan. The limit resets at the beginning of each billing month. Unused messages do not roll over to the next month.
You can see your current limit at the top of the Mass Messages page under the Plan Limit tile, which shows:
- Your total monthly allocation
- A progress bar showing the percentage used
Overage Pricing
If you send more mass messages than your plan allows in a given month, each additional message is billed at $0.07 per message sent.
The Cost tile at the top of the Mass Messages page shows:
- Your current overage cost for the month (if any)
- A reminder that messages beyond your limit are billed at $0.07 per message sent
How Costs Are Calculated
Each individual text message counts toward your limit - not each campaign.
Example: If you send a mass message to 500 clients and your plan limit is 1,000, you've used 500 of your 1,000 messages for the month. If you then send another message to 600 clients, the first 500 are covered by your plan and the remaining 100 are billed at $0.07 each ($7.00 in overages).
Seeing Your Costs Before Sending
When you click Schedule to Send, a confirmation dialog appears showing:
- The number of recipients
- The potential cost if this message would push you over your monthly limit
- A field where you must type the recipient count to confirm
This gives you full visibility into what a message will cost before it's sent.
Tracking Usage
The three tiles at the top of the Mass Messages page give you a real-time view:

| Plan Limit | Your monthly allocation and percentage used |
| Cost | Current overage cost for the month |
If the Messages Sent number exceeds your Plan Limit, you are in overage for the month.
Seeing the cost preview during send
The composer also shows a running cost estimate near the Schedule to Send button as soon as you build an audience, so you can see the potential overage before you open the confirmation dialog.
