Overview
You can now upload images and PDF files directly to Client Activities and Wishlists in Clientbook (only on the dashboard to start)! These features were previously limited to text notes or items in your product list respectively, which didn't grant much flexibility or specificity to operational processes where needed.
Why is this helpful?
More detailed Client Activities: Add photos or documents for repair jobs, design requests, or any interaction that benefits from a visual or file reference. This can be particularly helpful for our non-integrated clients that want a more robust emulated sales log within Clientbook.
Cleaner Collections: Attaching files directly to a wishlist item, rather than creating a new product manually, will help keep your product catalog neat while still tracking custom or special-order items within a collection for a client.
How to use it:
Client Activities:
NOTE: PDF files don't have a displayable preview. The file must be open to be viewed. This, unfortunately, means that PDFs can't be viewed when attached to client activity. This will only work for activities where notes are allowed
On a customer's profile, add a new activity.
As part of the requested Note, you will be able to attach a file (or several files) by selecting "Add File" above the text input field.
Once saved, you will be able to access that file by clicking on it within the activity itself.
Collections
NOTE: PDF files don't have a displayable preview. The file must be open to be viewed. However, in a collection, you can click into the pdf to open the file. When editing an existing collection, click "Add File".
Attach whatever photos or files you want included.
Those files will show up in that specific collection, but not in your product list.
