Clientbook checks for duplicate clients every time a new profile is created by an associate or through a point of sale integration. If a duplicate customer is found, Clientbook will automatically merge those profiles for you!
If you have duplicate client profiles it is most likely due to one of the following reasons:
Name & contact information don't match:
In order for Clientbook to spot duplicate client profiles they must share the same name and contact information (Phone Number or Email). Clientbook's system is case sensitive and profiles will not register as "identical" if capitalization or spelling is different across the merging profiles.
Different Point of Sale ID:
If the duplicate profiles have unique point of sale IDs they will be recognized as different clients even if all other information on their profile matches.
This is most common if your point of sale is integrated with Clientbook and there are duplicate clients in your point of sale.
