How to Filter Your Client List in Clientbook
The Clientbook filtering tools make it easy to find specific clients by applying various criteria, such as birthdays, anniversaries, messaging activity, and more. These filters are available on both the Dashboard and the mobile app, with slight differences in appearance.
Important Notes:
- All filters in Clientbook are "and" filters, not "or" filters. This means that if you select multiple parameters (e.g., two tags), the client list will only display profiles that meet all the selected criteria—not profiles that meet just one of them.
- For filters like tags, stores, associates, and contact methods, hovering over or long-pressing on a specific name will reveal an "Only" option. Clicking "Only" will uncheck all other options, so you're filtering exclusively for that specific selection.
- The filter options are the same across both platforms, except for the Store and Associate filters, which are only available on the Dashboard.
Filter Options
The following filters are available in both the Dashboard and mobile app (with the exception of Store and Associate, which are Dashboard-only):
1. Birthday
- Has Birthday: Filter for clients with a birthday in a specific time range.

Doesn’t Have Birthday: Filter for clients without a birthday listed.
Note: The date fields will always appear here. To apply it, you must turn the toggle for "has birthday" on and select your dates.
2. Anniversary
- Has Anniversary: Filter for clients with an anniversary in a specific time range.

Doesn’t Have Anniversary: Filter for clients without an anniversary listed.
Note: The date fields will always appear here, if you'd like to see clients that do not have a life event date turn the toggle for "Doesn't have anniversary" on and leave the date fields blank.
3. Last Message Sent
- Sent Between: Filter by messages sent during a specific date range.

Never Sent: Filter for clients who have never received a message from your team.
Note: By default, these toggles will be turned off.
4. Last Message Received
- Received Between: Filter by messages received during a specific date range.

Never Received: Filter for clients who have never sent a message to your team.
Notes:
- You can not have both toggles turned on at the same time.
- When you turn on one of the "dates" toggles two calendars will appear for you to select your "start date" and your "end date".
5. Created Date
- Filter clients based on when their profile was created by selecting a date or time range.
6. Contact Methods
- Email: Filter for clients with an email address listed.

SMS: Filter for clients with a phone number listed for text messaging.
Note: By default, both boxes will be checked. You can uncheck one of the boxes, or hover over the option you want and click the "Only" box when it appears.
7. Stores (Dashboard Only)
- All Stores: Show clients from all store locations.

Specific Stores: Use the checkboxes to filter by specific store locations.
Note: By default, all stores will be selected. You can uncheck the boxes for stores you do not want to see or hover over the store you want and click the "Only" box when it appears.
8. Assigned Associates (Dashboard Only)
- All Associates: Show clients assigned to all associates.

Specific Associates: Use the checkboxes to filter by specific associates.
Note: By default, all associates will be selected. You can uncheck the boxes for associates you do not want to see or hover over the associate you want and click the "Only" box when it appears.
9. Tags
- All Tags: Show clients with any tag applied.

Specific Tags: Use the checkboxes to filter by specific tags.
Notes:
- By default, all tags will be selected.
- Selecting more than 1 tag will show you clients who have every tag selected on their profile, rather than showing you clients who have just 1 of the selected tags on their profile.
