Setting accurate store hours in Clientbook helps ensure your customers always know when your team is available for messaging. This includes both your regular business hours as well as special hours during holidays or other dates when your availability differs from the normal schedule.
Accurate store hours are essential for several Clientbook features to work correctly:
- The After-Hours Auto Response feature relies on your hours to know when to send automatic replies. See Setting Up the After-Hours Auto Response to enable this feature.
- Appointment booking availability is based on your store hours.
- Automated messages are sent during store hours only.
Note: This can only be done in the Dashboard (web version of Clientbook) by users with Admin and/or Manager access.
Setting Your Regular Store Hours
- Navigate to the store settings page by going to Setup, then Stores, then click Edit Store.
Note: If you have multiple store locations, hours will need to be set for each store individually.
-
Scroll down until you reach the "Store hours" section.
-
Confirm your "Store Time Zone" is correct. If this is incorrect, it can cause your "after-hours" message to go out a few hours before or after it should.
-
Add your regular store hours. Check the box next to each day of the week you are open. Leave it unchecked if you are closed that day. Click on each box that says "Open" and add the time your store opens. Do the same thing for when your store closes under the "Closed" boxes. Click "OK" to set your open and close hours for the day.
-
Save your changes. Confirm the days your open are checked and the hours are set correctly. Scroll to the top of the page and hit SAVE.
Setting Custom Store Hours for Holidays and Special Dates
Custom store hours allow you to manage dates when your store is closed or has different hours than your normal schedule. This is especially useful for holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas, or special events like Black Friday.
-
Navigate to the store settings page by going to Setup, then Stores, then click Edit Store.
Note: If you have multiple store locations, hours will need to be set for each store individually.
-
Locate the "Hours on Specific Dates" feature within the "Store hours" section.
-
Click the "Add a Date" button to add a new custom date.
Manage dates that your store is closed or has limited hours outside of your normal business hours.
-
For extended hours (such as Black Friday), select the date, then enter the start time when your store opens and the end time when your store closes. Click Save.
-
For days you are closed (such as Christmas), click the "Add a Date" button, select the date, check the "Closed" box, and click Save.
-
Save your changes. Confirm your custom store hours look correct. Scroll to the top of the page and click Save.
