Sales Triggers are smart, automated actions that come into play as soon as a new sale is added to Clientbook through a point of sale integration. These actions can either take the form of automated messages or reminders, making your life much easier. Read on below to learn how to set up these triggers and start automating your sales process today.

Auto Messages are a fantastic way to keep your customers engaged and informed. These messages are triggered based off of client purchases. Curious to learn how you can add Auto Messages to Sales Triggers? Take a look at the step-by-step guide below.

For example, if you want the message to send a week after the sale is complete, you would choose "1 Weeks".
5. Check the Repeats box if you would like this auto-message to repeat. You can set how often the message should repeat. For example, if you choose "repeat every 6 months" then this message will be sent every 6 months.
6. Click on Save.
7. This will take you back to the Edit Trigger page. Click on Save.
8. Go back to the Triggers page where all your actions are listed.
Auto Reminders
Auto Reminders are reminders that automatically notify your associates that an action needs to be completed for one of their assigned clients. Unlike Auto Messages, which automatically send a message, an Auto Reminder simply reminds an associate to complete a particular task. See the walkthrough below to add/edit an Auto Reminder:
Follow the same steps outlined in the Auto Message section.
1. Click on the Setup tab, then Sales, followed by Sales Triggers.
2. Select the Trigger you would like to add an Auto Reminder to. Or, create a new Trigger.
3. Click on Add Action at the bottom of the screen.
4. This will lead you to a drop-down menu that has several actions listed. Click on a listed entity with a Bell icon to select an Auto Reminder. There are several different reminders. Choose the one that best fits your needs.
5. Schedule a time for the Auto Reminder to notify your associates. You can choose Same Day or Custom. If you choose Same Day, your associates will receive a reminder the same day the sale occurs. If you choose Custom, you will need choose a schedule. For example, if you want the reminder to generate a week after the sale is complete, you would choose "1 Weeks".
6. Check the Repeats box if you would like this auto-reminder to repeat. You can set how often the reminder should repeat. For example, if you choose "repeat every 6 months" then this reminder will be generated every 6 months.
7. With Reminders, you have the option choose whether or not this reminder can expire. Toggle on "Turn On Expiration" to set an expiration date. You can either set it to expire once it becomes overdue, or set a custom schedule.
Setting an expiration can help reduce clutter if associates fall behind on their reminders.
